The Bible, y’all!! The power and promise of our God...

This morning, I am just blown away by this verse I’ve read 1 million times…

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” ‭‭Gen‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭

I started thinking about what this verse tells us about God.

Him hovering…waiting for the perfect moment to declare light.

There are so many circumstances I’ve been rushing Him on, thinking my timing is better than His. “Lord, save these people now!” “Lord, give me clarity on this thing now!” “Lord, heal this person now!”

But it registers with me this morning…I have nothing to fear.

He’s hovering and HE is the light that’s coming

Rise up and worship, precious daughter. Be released from your worry. The light of the world is waiting with perfect timing in mind. Behold your King as you wait…imagine Him hovering over that person or thing you keep praying over. Now, imagine Him in His glorious return. Even if that prayer doesn’t turn out the way you imagined, He will complete it according to His perfect plan.

Taking joy in HIS pleasure is where you will find peace.

“We wait for the Lord; he is our help and shield. For our hearts rejoice in him because we trust in his holy name. May your faithful love rest on us, Lord, for we put our hope in you.” Ps‬ ‭33‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭
