The Power of Weak Women...

We live in a world that declares weakness as a fault, but isn't it true that our humble admission of our limitations is actually currency in the Kingdom of Heaven, by which God is moved to help His precious daughter!

Today is the perfect time to start displaying your weakness before your family. Display for them what it’s like to live knowing that you are always in the presence of the Great I Am, and what it’s like knowing that Jesus, in all of His perfect, unwavering love, is always interceding and advocating for you!! So, let’s set aside our generational and cultural differences and join together as one generation of women, weak on our knees before the only true source of strength and change.

Let's set the mood of surrender…

It all starts at home!!! Say I’m sorry. Admit your wrong. Let your husband have the final say. Don’t flip out over the stuff that doesn’t really matter. Don’t idolize your body...constantly talking about how fat you feel. Don’t fixate on how much better work would be if your co-workers weren’t so “stupid”. Stop trash-talking other drivers or service workers. Don’t laugh at the dirty jokes, or post inappropriate things, and be brave enough to turn off the show that doesn’t glorify God. Be wise enough to make Bible study, prayer, and church a non-negotiable part of your family life...to make it more important than your passions and pastimes. I don’t know exactly what that looks like for you, but you know where the Lord has convicted your heart....

This is a measurable way to watch what God will do with reverence and obedience…watch the benefits of a committed relationship with Jesus begin to trickle down. Watch your children be set free from the trappings of gluttony, laziness, perfectionism, superiority, selfishness, idolatry, and self-pity.

Remember that your children experience God through you; therefore, living a life as weak women, submitted to God, will make a way for Him to be known in your home. So today...Let’s stand—or bow together as weak girls—in a united cry for an awakening in our homes... an awakening that gives way to revival, but first that it would start in us!!!

How do we start...First, let's take a moment to truly consider the passage below. Recognize the pattern of the people and the promise of God. Then, pray over your home. Then pray for the women in your church, the women in your area, the women whose eyes will land on this post wherever they are...pray that they will be moved to their knees, and pray that they will rise up and obey...starting today!

“Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. Remember today that your children were not the ones who saw and experienced the discipline of the Lord your God: his majesty, his mighty hand, his outstretched arm....But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the Lord has done.

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— “then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:1-2, 7, 13, 16, 18-21‬ ‭

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.” Ps 84:11
