It's unbelievable. Over the past few days, I have woken up with a great deal of joy and drive in my heart. I know it's our gracious God instructing the Holy Spirit to give me rest, because there are a lot of things in my world that would generally not equal rest. Now...I know that many have it worse than I. So, I am not trying to compare, but...My Daddy had to have his knee replaced, and there have been some uncomfortable hiccups that were scary. He's ok and getting better, but truth be told, I have never had to care for him in this capacity, and it makes me nervous. At the same time, I am taking three classes in school and have fallen behind in my Bible study. My sheets are dirty, my laundry is a nightmare, and my floors are a joke. Not one person has signed up for the retreat I have planned, and at times, I have absolutely no clue why God is taking A Heart Refined Ministry in this direction when it feels like it could “fail.”
HOWEVER, with all of that in my consciousness, the Lord has spoken to me in such a sweet way each day as the sun comes up…IF I HAVE ASKED YOU TO DO SOMETHING,
I WILL MAKE YOU ABLE!
It didn’t come that clearly at first, though. He started by bringing my heart into the hours surrounding the death of Jesus. Think of all He went through. Think of how He, in His humanity, felt overwhelmed and possibly unable to keep pressing through that pain. He had already cried out, “Let this cup pass from me.” He didn’t want to have to do this.
However, He was faithful to the Father more than He was to His human desires.
The next thought God gave me was of the tearing of the veil and the shattering of the darkness that could only take place through the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. These events opened Heaven for all who would call on the name of Jesus to enter in. God had always had a plan to make a way where there seemed to be no way.
As I got in the shower thinking about these things, the Lord took my heart and made it clear that if He can do these things as He said He would, then He would make me able to do what He asks me to do. Think about it…
The word says, “Honor thy mother and father.” It is also noted that God is a “defender of the widowed.” Over and over, He shows us that we are to care for those in need. THEREFORE, he will sustain me, giving me everything I need to take part in His divine nature and plan.
I also believe that God has called me to lead a group to help women all around us to either come to know Jesus in His fullness AND/OR take possession of His fullness through God’s Word. THEREFORE, he will sustain US, giving US everything WE need to take part in His divine nature and plan!!

What about you? What has God asked you to do that you are struggling to follow through on? What has God shown you through His Word that confirms His purpose and calling for you, but you have lost sight of it? Has He asked you to get alone and pray fervently...to linger in His presence in full surrender and worship and intercession for others? Has He asked you to honor your husband or not provoke your children to anger? Has He asked you to live for His glory in a season of loneliness? Has He asked you to serve in your Church even though you feel like you don’t fit in? Has He asked you to surrender to missions or to begin to tithe in a new way? Has He asked you to start today, working towards becoming debt-free? Has He asked you to take care of your body? Has He asked you to GO and share the gospel in your neighborhood or job? Has He asked you to be a teacher, leader, or mentor, reminding you that you are held to His higher standard; Thus, your words, actions, and social media presence just have to change? Has He asked you to accept that His direction is not what you had planned, but He is going to use every step you have taken for His glory and your good? Has He asked you to do something that you are just not able to do in your own power?!!!
OF COURSE HE HAS!! THAT'S THE POINT !! WE CANNOT DO THIS!! WE NEED HIS DIVINE POWER, AND WE NEED TO BE REMINDED THAT HE IS A PROMISE KEEPER AND IT IS ALL ALREADY WELL IN HIM!! TAKE POSSESSION OF YOUR WEAKNESS AND TRUST THAT YOU ARE BEING MADE ABLE BY HIS GRACIOUS HAND!!
THINK ABOUT IT...There is a day coming…our King will be returning soon…and whether it is a small task or some huge undertaking, whether it feels like a move forward or backward, there is work to be done that He will make you able to do! Let’s live in the truth that the veil is already torn, our Savior has already risen, ascended, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Let’s live as though our salvation has already been completed and we have the power to live in the JOY THAT IS TO COME!
Today...TOGETHER...let us rise in worship of HE WHO IS TO COME over that which is hard. Let us be consumed in HIM WHO WAS, AND IS, AND IS TO COME, believing that HE WILL MAKE YOU ABLE TO DO WHAT HE HAS ASKED YOU TO DO!!
You are loved!
You are prayed for!
You have been made with fear and wonder!
You have been chosen to go and bear fruit...fruit that will last!!
Now, take that first step that He has put right in front of you! WORSHIP!
