Fighting the Good Fight: Same God Same Message...

Eight years ago, when I first started doing ministry through blogging, it was called “Thumbwarriors." Cheesy, I know...but I was in warrior mode, and I really didn't have friends. So, I put my thumbs to work on my phone and started doing the best ministry I knew how
Every single Sunday, I would post the song "Come as You Are" with this message...
“Go today and look for the message God has prepared for you in His house. Even if your mind is spent and all the energy you've got is yesterday's clothes...go. Go as you are!!
You will be blessed because HE is there!!”
I said that because I knew how hard sadness, depression, anxiety, addiction, alcoholism, apathy, and fear are to overcome. My heart ached for the women suffocating under any of those weights.
As I woke up this morning with those women still on my heart, I couldn’t help but think of how important that message still is....
That accuser is still at work, telling you one more Sunday away from Church won't matter.
That thief will tell you it’s ok to livestream if you just don't feel up to it.
That liar will suggest that no one even cares if you don't come.
See...what the most cunning of all creatures has done has made this whole day about you.
So now, let me send that same message from eight years ago but with a little truth on top...
THIS DAY IS ABOUT BLESSING GOD!!
When you do it with all your heart...Satan is crushed, and you are blessed.
With that in mind, God is not defeated by your clothes or how much you studied your Bible this week. He wants your heart, and since He knows the lies that Satan is feeding you,
He wants to equip you to fight differently next week, and it includes being with the Bride of Christ.
So, get up today and look for the message God has prepared for you through His messenger. Even if your mind is spent and all the energy you've got is yesterday's clothes...get up anyway!! Fight Satan’s lies and the trappings of isolation by physically preparing yourself!!
Present your heart to God, invite The Spirit to move in corporate worship, and through the power of God alone, You will be blessed, You will be moved, You will be changed!
"O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:55-58 ESV
