Being a Good Steward of Your Pain…

“David knew not only how to weep in the night (Ps 30:5) but also how to sing songs in the night (Job 35:10; Ps 42:8). Anyone can sing in the sunshine, but it takes faith in the Lord and love for Him to sing when everything seems dark. Paul and Silas sang in jail in the night time and their song brought the jailer to his knees, and he was saved (Acts 16:25-34). PRAYER changes things, and so does praise!” Wiersbe

“I reflect at night on who you are.” Ps 119:55

It is true that we become what we behold. Thus, Satan wants us to spend most of our time considering the wrongs around us…wrongs done to us and our sins and failures. He knows we were built to praise. So, he wants to steal it, enticing us to praise our problem.

Satan wants to consume us, but this is only a cheap imitation of God’s heart to fill us with Himself.

God calls us to return to worship for His pleasure and our heart’s protection. He offers us healing through fellowship with Him and there He gives us energy to be good stewards of our pain.

Lately, Have you told God the Father how much you love Him? Have you told Jesus how generous He is? Have you thanked the Holy Spirit for faithfully sharing the Father’s message of correction and direction? Have you required your thoughts, emotions, words, countenance, and posture to be a reflection of Their Sovereign perfection and personal relationship?

Let today be a day of intentional praise in the right direction! What a privilege to rise as a faithful steward of the attributes of God!
